Description

A study of mathematics using an analytical approach incorporating topics such as sets and logic,
elementary number theory, basic algebra, geometry, and trigonometry. Includes problem solving and
applications. An emphasis will be placed on developing an appreciation of the way mathematicians
think and work, how mathematics contributes to understanding the world, and the role of technology in
the study of mathematics. Satisfies the MOT/Mathematics requirement. Prerequisite: UEMA 100 or
Mathematics Placement Exam recommendation of UEMA 103.
