Description

The course is designed to provide a complete overview of Special Education and the children who
receives special education services. Areas of concentration include classifications and definitions,
patterns of learning, description of assessment and intervention strategies, legislation, and inclusion. To
obtain a broader more comprehensive perspective, students will conduct research through journal
articles, Internet searches, classroom observations and interviews of parents and/or teachers.
