Description

An introductory course for non-science majors who have little or no background in Chemistry and
minimal mathematical background. The chemical basis of environmental issues including air pollution,
energy use, global warming, and ozone depletion are discussed in their social, political, and economic
context. Emphasis will be placed on applying knowledge of chemistry to a range of current public policy
issues.
