Description

This course introduces the student to the theory and practice in psychological assessment. Students will learn the history and theoretical foundation of psychological assessment. Students will also acquire an understanding of basic statistical concepts in relation to psychological testing and explore various instruments. The course will increase the students? awareness of ethi-cal /legal assessment issues with culturally diverse populations. Prerequisite: PSYG 503.This course is not intended to prepare the student for proficiency or qualification in the independent administration, scoring and interpretation of psychological tests at the doctoral level.
