Description

How does matter transform? What transforms perception? This interdisciplinary course explores transformation through chemistry and media arts, investigating connections between chemical reactions and cinematic perception, pigment chemistry and visual culture, thermodynamics, and artistic practice. Through labs, film screenings, readings, and creative projects, students examine material and cultural change while developing their own practices of observation, analysis, and creative transformation. (IDHP Core Credit; non-IDHP Inquiry Credit: Scientific Investigation OR Arts and Creative Expression).
