Description

BIOU 217 Genetics (S) 4 credits Introduces genetics at classical, molecular, and population levels. Topics include Mendelian genetics, linkage analysis, mutation, dominance relationships, quantitative genetics, the structure and properties of DNA, transcription, translation, recombination, DNA synthesis, and population genetics models. Laboratory exercises illustrate principles discussed in the lecture. Three hours lecture, two hours lab. Lab Fee; see fee schedule.
