Description

A development of basic mathematical concepts and skills needed by students in education and related
fields. Emphasis on mathematical reasoning, problem solving, and connecting mathematics, its ideas,
and its applications. Topics include: real number system; sets and logic; patterns, relations and
functions; elementary number theory; geometry; measurement; probability and statistics. Prerequisite
for UEMA 153: UEMA 101 or Math Placement Exam recommendation of UEMA 153. Prerequisite for
UEMA 154: UEMA 153.
