Description

Focuses on effective human resource management in support of organizational goals and objectives.
Blends theory and practice to assist students in understanding the impacts of HR management on the
organization. This course covers such topics as HR planning and strategies, selection and placement,
performance appraisal, training and development, employee and labor relations, legal and social
environments, diversity and cross-cultural issues of organizational behavior, compensation and
benefits, and health and safety. Prerequisite: UEMG 201.
