Description

This course deals with the nature and functions of money, financial institutions, monetary system and
credit, and central banking. Interest rate determination and the effects of money supply on interest rates
and economic activities are examined. Classical, Keynesian, and Monetarist models are fully examined
and evaluated. Current issues affecting financial markets are stressed. Prerequisite: UEEC 109.
