Description

This course is designed to explore the relationship between sport, identity, and society in both the United States and the broader global world. You will learn to critically examine a wide range of topics including, but not limited to sport & gender, sport & race, sport & socioeconomics, and sport & politics in the United States and abroad. This course intends to develop your critical thinking skills and encourage you to think about the role of race and gender in sport and the construction of identities and ideologies in societies particularly through sporting institutions and experiences.
