Systemic Appr/Probl of Adolescents (PSYG 714)

Reviews normal adolescent development and the psychological and psychosocial problems commonly associated with this phase of life. Problems to be discussed will include: eating disorders, depression, suicide, anxiety, disruptive behavior, and academic difficulties. Although a variety of treatment approaches will be considered, the family systems model will be emphasized. Pre-requistite: PSYG 708. (New course Fall 2013.)
