Description

Aims to provide students with an understanding of globalization and how the phenomenon of migration is both an engine and an effect of globalization. The course examines how poverty, conflict, climate change, and tecnological developments in communication and transportation may drive emigration, and how politics, economics, and culture affect the receiption of migrants in their destination countries. Analzes and compares migration patterns in Africa, the U.S., and Europe. May fulfill the Global Awarenetss OR the Real World Connections core requirements.
