Description

Students examine the fundamentals of technology-based learning and gain comprehensive understanding of the integration of Web 2.0 tools, podcasting, video editing software, interactive white boards, and hand-held technologies into educational practice. This course emphasizes an understanding of the learning process and the planning and evaluation of activities that utilize state-of-the-art educational technologies effectively. Students create products using the stand-alone and Web-based tools while also collaborating with each other in constructivist learning environment through the Blackboard learning man-agement system. The course culminates with the creation of a technology-integrated mini-unit relevant to students? current or prospective roles in instructional technology.
