Description

This course reviews the theories and techniques associated with the major models of contemporary family therapy, including Structural, Strategic, Bowenian, Contextual and Narrative Models. Videotapes illustrating family therapy interventions will be shown. Students will learn how to conduct an assessment of a family and develop treatment plans based on their assessment. Methods of working with distressed couples are also covered. Co-requisite: GRCP-808L.
