Description

A study of the cultural, political, and artistic factors that have influenced France and the Francophone world and their literary expressions in the twentieth century. Special emphasis on the effect of the two world wars and May ’68. Includes authors such as Proust, Anouilh, Sartre, Camus, Duras and others, along with a study of surrealism, existentialism, le nouveau roman and the théâtre de l’absurde.
