Description

This course will provide students with a strong foundation in the theory, pedagogies, methods, and activities related to reading, writing, and literacy instruction for all children. Literacy acquisition of both typical and atypical learners will be explored, including children who have learning differences or are acquiring English as a second language. Children???s literature will be used to demonstrate how the rich language and artwork of books can be used across the curriculum to enhance literacy instruction. (New Course Fall 2014.)
