Description

Examines the process of identifying reading deficits and selecting interventions to address those deficits. Research-based reading practices for all readers, but especially for struggling readers will be presented. Students will demonstrate mastery of the process of assessment, familiarity with various available instructional approaches for struggling readers and strategies for selecting and adapting instructional approaches in a case-study approach. (New course Spring 2013.)
