Designed to extend the instructional literacy knowledge of teachers. Formative and summative assessments, research-based instructional strategies, and techniques for teaching diverse learners are emphasized. This course aligns with IRA Standards 2: Curriculum and Instruction, 3: Assessment and Evaluation, 4: Diversity and 5: Literate Environment, Standards for Reading Professionals, 2010 edition. Prerequisite: EDRG 605.
