Description

With an interdisciplinary approach, human service professionals will gain an understanding of crime, criminal law, law en-forcement, courts, corrections and juvenile justice from a systems perspective. Human service professionals will learn how to understand the criminal justice system from the vantage point of different professional roles and responsibilities. Case stud-ies will be used to demonstrate how the criminal justice system addresses the special needs of persons with mental illnesses, addictions, developmental disabilities, and abuse issues.
